SmoothLase uses the Er:YAG laser in Fotona's SMOOTH mode, applied to the inside of the cheeks and lips with a dedicated handpiece.

The non-ablative pulses deliver intense but controlled heat that shrinks and tightens existing collagen while stimulating new collagen. Treating the inside of the mouth tightens the skin around the mouth and cheeks, which softens the nasolabial folds.
